About Lisa Kelleher

I help women and teen girls rediscover their strength and live with authentic confidence.

A Different Kind of Therapist

I didn't start my career in therapy. For 15 years, I worked in the corporate world, achieving external success while my soul felt empty. I knew I was meant to be a helper and healer, but it took courage to completely change paths and pursue what truly called to me.

That journey taught me something invaluable about change. It's hard, it takes time, and it requires both courage and support. But it's absolutely worth it. Now I get to do what I love every day while helping others find their own path to authenticity and joy.

Lisa Kelleher Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

My work as a therapist is deeply personal because I have genuine wisdom from life experience. I'm in my middle-aged years with many seasons of both joy and struggle behind me. I know what it feels like to experience anxiety, depression, life transitions, and low self-esteem, not just from textbooks, but from living it.

I don't just talk the talk; I've walked the walk. Only recently, as I approached middle age, did I genuinely heal and grow into the mentally healthier person I am today. That journey gives me authentic empathy for where you are and real hope for where you can go.

I consider it an honor to be part of someone's journey from feeling scared, vulnerable, or stuck to discovering their strength and feeling confident enough to move toward a life that feels safe, happy, and peaceful.

How I work with Clients

My approach is direct, straightforward, and clear. I don't just listen and validate, though I absolutely do both. I give you valuable perspective, feedback, and practical strategies you can use in your everyday life.

I like clients to come to sessions with real examples of their challenges so we can work through them together. Then you try something different between sessions. If what you've been doing worked, you wouldn't need therapy. Let's figure out what will actually help.

My core values guide every session:

Authenticity: I show up as my true self and invite you to do the same.

Honesty: I believe healing begins when we speak the truth with clarity and care.

Directness: I offer real, grounded feedback to help you grow with intention.

Compassion: I meet you with warmth and empathy, especially in the hard moments.

Determination: I'm deeply committed to your long-term growth and transformation.

Who I love Working With

I specialize in supporting adult and adolescent women who are navigating anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem challenges. My clients want to develop healthier thought patterns and cultivate a stronger, more empowered sense of self without sacrificing their joy.

Common experiences my clients bring:

  • Feeling stuck in cycles of self-doubt and people-pleasing
  • Struggling with perfectionism and fear of judgment
  • Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt
  • Anxiety about life transitions and major decisions
  • Processing past experiences that affect current confidence
  • Wanting to integrate faith with their healing journey

Whether you're dealing with life transitions, struggling with confidence, or seeking faith-integrated support, I meet you exactly where you are with honesty, compassion, and practical tools for change.

What You Can Expect When Working With Me

I want women to know they don't have to settle for feeling anxious, depressed, or "not enough." Life can be hard, but change is possible, and I can help you get there.

You can expect me to:

  • Meet you with genuine empathy while challenging you to grow
  • Give you practical tools you can use between sessions
  • Be honest about what therapy can and can't do
  • Respect your pace while encouraging forward movement
  • Integrate your faith when that's meaningful to you

My clients are able to shift limiting patterns and cultivate a more positive, fulfilling reality both within themselves and in their everyday experiences. You don't have to have it all figured out, you just have to be willing to begin and do the work.
